Sheridan Schools

There will be a staff and community meet and greet with superintendent candidate Greg Lemelin on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the high school gym. The Board will interview Mr. Lemelin following the meet and greet at 5:00 p.m. in the CB Murray Library.

Portfolio time is just around the corner. Seniors will present during the school day on May 14 & May 15. JumpStart Kindergarten through Junior Class will be presenting on Thursday, May 16. Parents will be notified of the presentation times. School will be dismissed early on May 16 at 1:00 pm. The Spring Book Fair will be in the elementary library from 1:30 - 7:00 pm. Please do not leave your students unattended on campus and an adult must accompany students into the book fair.

The Sheridan School District is seeking candidates for two Sheridan trustee positions for three-year terms and one Alder trustee position for a three-year term. The election will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Anyone qualified and interested in running must fill out a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy and return it to the District Office by 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The Montana Department of Revenue is holding public meetings in cities and towns across the state to help taxpayers understand the property valuation process and how the department determined the new values on their classification and appraisal notices. We had a great 7-12 concert last night with plenty of songs and band playing it was a very good event put on by Ms. Nybakken our Music teacher. We will have the jumpstart kindergarten through sixth grade performing tonight. Come out and enjoy the show.

Hey come check out the Haunted Skills Fair on Saturday October 15th at the high school. The event is being put on by the Ruby Valley Medical Center and supported by students from Twin Bridges and Sheridan Schools. Kids had a great time with the car bash and the sweetheart pageant last night. I felt bad for the Chevrolet Lumina that was donated by Allhands Auto for the bash. Lois will have a picture up on the website sometime today.

Tomorrow, September 16th Homecoming Parade at 1 Early release at 2 with buses running at 2:15. Volleyball starts with JV @ 4 and Varsity @ 5:30 followed by Varsity Football @ 7

Kids are having a great time with evening activities for homecoming week. Last night we had a spirited game of Capture the Flag across town. Red Team Wins!!!
